KYMS 89.9 FM is a listener supported non-profit radio station, however, if you feel lead to contribute to this ministry there are a few things we want you know. First: we ask that any contributions you make are made only after any commitment you may have to your own fellowship. We are not in competition with the local church but an extension to the work God is already doing in the Inland Northwest. Second: Even though we are a non-profit corporation we are NOT a tax exempt 501c3 ministry. We believe this status could compromise our ability to speak openly on issues affecting the attack on the religious freedoms of the Church and America.. So any contributions you choose to make to Legacy Broadcasting/KYMS will not count as your tax-exempt giving. Thank You

The Legacy of KYMS
| A New Beginning
Jump ahead 14 years to 2008, when 89.9fm KWJT was purchased by Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. In early 2009, the inspiration came to change the call letters and the new KYMS was born! In 2011 the opportunity to make KYMS a truly local radio station was fulfilled. Post Falls based Legacy Broadcasting purchased 89.9 KYMS. With the new incarnations of KYMS, we also decided to honor the legacy of its musical predecessors by featuring many of the classics that so blessed the listeners of the original KYMS. Our true desire is to serve the local churches and the community. Our vision is to be a bridge helping to unify the body of Christ in the inland Northwest. We feature solid Bible teaching by both local and national pastors, as well as, contemporary and classic praise music. February 2011 we added a live morning drive show followed recently with live mid-day and afternoon drive shows. We also have added topical local call-in programs such as "Senior Moments" (Saturdays 4pm) and "Let's reach America" (Tuesdays at 7pm), plus "Clean Country Morning" Sunday mornings 6am to 7am featuring southern gospel and country music that honors our Lord. We also co-sponsor with the Kroc center a monthly worship event featuring various worship leaders from our community. We believe that the mighty work of God is breaking loose in the inland Northwest, and our desire is to be a part of it, as the original KYMS was in the early 70's. We the staff of KYMS are here to serve and we truly pray that you will join us on this adventure. LEE, KARLA & KAY- legacy broadcasting. KYMS "The Bridge!"on 87wfuhiurf beginning, the desire was to put together a station that would feature solid Bible teaching0[9jref and praise & worship that would reflect how the church was worshiping God today. In early 2009, the inspiration came to change the call letters and the" NEW KYMS" was born. With the new incarnation of KYMS, we also decided to honor the legacy of its predecessors by featuring many of the classics that so blessed the listeners of the original station. Now, in 2011, the opportunity has come to make KYMS a truly local station. Legacy Broadcasting – based in Post Falls – purchased 89.9fm KYMS. It is our desire to serve the local churches and community; to be a bridge to help unify the body of Christ in the inland northwest. We still feature solid Bible teaching by both local and national pastors as well as contemporary and classic praise music. We also have added topical local call-in programs, along with the 'Clean Country Sunday Morning Show', featuring southern gospel and country music that honors our Lord and monthly worship events featuring worship leaders from our community. We believe that a mighty work of God is breaking loose in the inland northwest and our desire is to be a part of it, much in the way that the original KYMS was part of the Jesus movement. We are here to serve and we truly pray that you will join us on this adventure. Be blessed Lee, Karla and Kay – Legacy Broadcasting KYMS – The Bridge |
